A Mercedes Sprinter with a closed box body came to us today. The wear sensor showed that the rear brakes were too worn and needed to be replaced. If you neglect the regular maintenance of your vehicle fleet and do not have wearing parts replaced, you risk running into major problems later on. Replacing worn brakes is a typical routine task and most mechanics already know every step inside out. Wheel off, brake calliper off, old brake discs and pads come out, the handbrake pads come off and the wear sensor is removed. The new parts are then fitted in the reverse order and the replacement is complete.
