A Mercedes Benz Actros in Germany, not far from Frankfurt in Bad Nauheim, could not switch gears properly and required repairs. We towed the truck to our workshop in 97618 Niederlauer, in order to identify the issue. After removing and disassembling the transmission, its pressure plate and clutch disc turned out to be defective.
After the ordered replacements arrived, we took the old disc and pressure plate out of the gear housing and screwed the new ones to the flywheel. The housing was bolted back onto the gearbox and after we reconnected the TCM and refilled the transmission oil, we installed the transmission back in the truck, relearned it and took the Actros for a test drive, before returning it back to the customer.
