A Van Hool tour bus broke down on the A71 motorway. The engine has failed. The employees of AWHELP24 arranged for the bus to be towed to the workshop of the Autowelt GmbH at Industriestraße 1, 97618 Niederlauer. The service technicians at Autowelt GmbH determined the cause of the failure: a connecting rod punched through the engine block. The owner decided to have the engine repaired. Spare parts were ordered: cylinder block, crankshaft and a piston group, as well as a main liner, connecting rod bearings, connecting rods, an oil pump, a water pump and gasket sets. All other existing parts and attachments were checked and taken over from the old engine. The entire process of removing, repairing and installing the engine on the bus took 10 days.
