Engine overhaul on a MAN TGX with D2676 LF Euro 6 engine

The engine of a regular customer from Würzburg came to the workshop with loss of power, smoking, a rattling noise and shavings in the oil.

What we did

• Engine dismantled and all components washed
• Fault diagnosis and cost estimate for the customer
• All pistons renewed together with liners and matching gasket sets
• New injectors, main bearing set, connecting rod bearing set as well as thrust washers and fitted bearings
• Water pump with thermostats, oil cooler and oil pump replaced
• Connecting rods renewed and the engine resealed from scratch

The usual procedure for engine repairs is dismantling with washing of all components and subsequent fault diagnosis. After that the customer receives a cost estimate.
